School Choice Application

The Decatur County Board of Education requires that all students attend the school in the zone in which they reside unless they are in a specialized program that contains students across school zones.  Any exceptions to this policy must be made through the “School Choice Plan.”

If your child will be in grades K-4 during the 2019-2020 school year and you desire to apply for a school out of your zone using the “School Choice Plan,” you will need to complete an application during the week of April 22 - April 26, 2019.  Applications may be obtained (during Choice Week) at the Decatur County Board of Education, 100 West Street, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM or printed from the website www.dcboe.com.   Applications will be available and accepted ONLY during the week of April 22 - April 26, 2019.  If you have questions regarding the “School Choice Plan” or the applications procedures, please contact Mr. John H. Wooden at 248-2806.
