Daily Bulletin August 11, 2017

There will be a meeting for the Key Club members on August 16th at 7:20 a.m. in Mr. Harper’s room (2209).  This meeting is mandatory for all returning members.

Honors American Literature Summer Reading is due no later than Tuesday, August 15th regardless of which semester you have the class.  Turn in your printed work to Dr. Chambers in room 6204.

BassCats Up Coming Meetings:  BassCats Booster Club meeting Monday, August 14th BMS lunchroom at 6:00 p.m.  Any High School student planning to join BassCats please attend our 1st meeting on Tuesday, August 15th in room #2103 2:50 p.m.  If you cannot attend see one of the coaches and get excused.

Football Tickets for the Lowndes vs. BHS game can be purchased Friday, August 11th in the lunchroom during all four lunches.  Student tickets are $5 each.  Adult tickets are $8 each.  Purchase a General Admission Student Season Pass for $30 from Mrs. Wooten.  Good for all seven home games.

The Bearcat Voice will meet on Friday, August 11th until 4:30p.m., in Mr. Poppell's room on the English hallway.  If you are interested in joining please try to attend. The Bearcat Voice will meet Tuesday and Friday of each week. 

The first Drama Club meeting of the year will be on Thursday, August 17th from 2:50-3:30 p.m. in the Chorus/Drama room (7102).  All students are invited!

The first auditions for the BHS Premiere Acapella Group, "Cat Call", are Tuesday and Wednesday, August 15th and 16th at 7:15 a.m. in the Chorus Room (7102).  Please be ready to sing your favorite song! Callbacks will be Thursday, August 17th.

The Golden Rule Club meets every Thursday morning at 7:15 in the Career Center located in Guidance. Our first meeting will be Thursday, August 17th.  We will promote acceptable behaviors both in our school and community by volunteering, being active in community service project, and bringing awareness through school wide activities.

Attention Students:  All students coming from Bainbridge must enter the campus via the west gate (bus gate); only students entering campus from the east (climax) should enter via the main gate.  All student drop off is in the front of the school and parents dropping off should enter the main gate.

BHS will host the first Blood Drive of the year on August 29th.  All donors must be at least 16 years of age (with parent permission slip) and 110 pounds.  Please see HOSA members in the Bearcat Cafe during lunches or room 1253 between classes to sign up!!  You must eat a full meal and drinks plenty of fluids before donating, and you must sign up by August 25th!!  See Mrs. Bland in room 1253 for any questions.

Attention Seniors and Juniors:  Please don't forget to join The Bainbridge High School S.A.T/A.C.T. and Scholarship Information GoogleClassroom. This GoogleClassroom will provide you with A LOT of information regarding test dates, scholarship applications and deadlines, and also information concerning enlisting in the military. The code to join is z7dg47. Any questions please see Mrs. Shelita Close in room 1243.

Interested in Art!?  Please come by room 1160 (Art Room) and check out the Art Club.  Our first meeting is free and is open to all students, August 15th from 2:50-4:00pm. 

“Pretty Smart” is a club for students interested in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).  All are welcome to attend!  Our first meeting is free! Please attend on Monday, August 14th from 2:50 – 4:00 p.m. in room 1160.

School Parking at BHS requires a parking permit.  Honors Parking is the first row nearest the English/Fine Arts wing.  Senior Row is the second row from the English/Fine Arts wing.  Only students with Honors Parking permits are allowed to park on Honors Row, and only Seniors are to park on Senior Row.

All students who drive to school are required to have a Parking Permit.  Permits are $10 and can be purchased from Mrs. Wooten in the front office.  Students who are ticketed for not having a parking permit will be fined $20.

Certificate of Attendance/Enrollment:  Students requesting Certificate of Attendance/Enrollment MUST sign up on Mondays in the Administrative Office. Certificates will be available for pick up on Wednesday.  There will be a $1.00 charge for certificates.
