Welcome Back!

The faculty, staff, and administrators at Elcan-King would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new and returning students and parents to the 2015-16 school year.  We are dedicated to providing the best possible education for our students, which will allow every student to achieve his or her greatest potential.  For this to be possible, it will require effort and cooperation from students, parents, as well as teachers.  Our staff will make every effort to maintain a positive relationship between home and school.  Communication and regular conferences are vital and we encourage parents to contact us if any problems arise.  Our most successful students are those whose parents are informed and active in their school life.  With your help, we are confident that this year will be the best one ever!

"The Bearcat Way, Proud Traditon..Promising Future."

We at Elcan-King are part of that tradition, and proud to continue offering bright futures to all of our students.

Safety Measures for 2015-16

Safety is important to us and we know that it is important to you.  It is our goal to provide the safest learning environment for your child. To promote safety, the following measure have been added for the 2015-16 school year in Decatur County:

1. Picture identifcation badges for all school personnel.
2. Parents are allowed to walk their children into school for the first week.  For safety reasons, parents may not walk their children into the building after the first week.  Staff members are posted throughout the campus to ensure the safety of students as they walk to class independently.

In addition to the added safety measures for the county, EKE has also added more safety features- a fence for the pick-up area on Pre-K and Kindergarten wing and more security cameras throughout the building.
