Principal's Message

From the Principal:  Greetings Parents and Families of Hutto Middle School (HMS)!

Our goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality education possible in a safe and supportive learning environment.  I recognize the importance of a strong home-to-school relationship, and community connection. By working together, we can achieve more!  I am committed to helping each student reach his/her full potential.  Every child, every day is valued and worthy of our best effort!

REACH Scholarship REACH Scholarship

Three Decatur County students were awarded REACH scholarships at a signing ceremony held at Bainbridge High School on Friday, September 26.  The scholars for 2018-2019 are (L-R) Skylar Jones, Thomas Spooner and LaQuirsten Williams.  During the signing ceremony, the students, parents and guardians, community members and Decatur County School officials pledged to support the students until graduation.  The ceremony consisted of a video message from Governor Deal, congratulations from Representative Darlene Taylor, and inspiration from John Wooden, Assistant Superintendent,  and Tim Cochran, Superintendent.

"Bearcats Have Heart" is a great way for individuals to request assistance in a process that is respectful of individual needs and circumstances. Thank you to so many who have provided needed donations and support!
