Remember to sign your child up for the flu vaccine. The Health Department will give these on October 2nd. Any student can have the vaccine regardless if they have insurance or not. Deadline is September 20, 2017.  A form was sent home last week that needs to be returned to school. The nurse will give a party to the class that turns in the most forms.

Decatur County Schools Closed Monday 11th & Tuesday 12th

Parents and Community Members,

The uncertainty of the future track of Hurricane Irma and its potential impact on our area has led us to cancel school for all Decatur County Schools on Monday, September 11th and Tuesday, September 12th. We are hopeful that our area sees very little impact but the uncertainty remains too high to take any chances with the safety of our students and staff. Schools will reopen on Wednesday, September 13th unless developments change at which time we will update you all.  Thank you and be safe.

Sincerely,

Tim Cochran

Superintendent Decatur County Schools
