Assistant Principal's Message

Welcome to Jones-Wheat Elementary School! I am very proud to be the Assistant Principal of such a beautiful and caring school. Once you enter the doors of Jones-Wheat, you know you are in a special place where learning comes to life. A place where you can DREAM, BELIEVE, and ACHIEVE anything possible!

I am a graduate of Valdosta State University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also obtained a Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology and received my Leadership Certification from Albany State University.

My career in education began in Grady County public schools where I worked for three years as an elementary teacher. After that, I began teaching in Decatur County at Jones-Wheat Elementary. After several years of teaching, I started my administrative role as the Lead Teacher of Jones Wheat and now the Assistant Principal.

I feel that my role as an administrator is to guide teachers to be more effective in their teaching, so their students will achieve academic success. My belief that all children can learn and achieve at high levels is top priority at Jones-Wheat. In addition, one of the most important aspects of a child’s education is the involvement of their parents. We strive hard to provide a nurturing school atmosphere not only for our staff and students, but especially our parents. Parents are welcome at any time at Jones-Wheat. We encourage our parents to take an active role in their child’s education.

I look forward to getting to know and welcoming all students and their families to our beautiful, warm, and caring school. If I can be of assistance at any time, please do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone.

Yours in Education,

Amy G. Robinson
