Life Changer of the Year Nominations for WBE

LifeChanger of the Year is an annual program recognizing K-12 educators and school employees across the country. Our program celebrates those who are making a significant difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership. Nominations for the 2017-2018 LifeChanger of the Year Program are now open.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week will begin next Monday, Oct. 23 - To help youget a jump start on planning for the week's activities, they arelisted below. A parent letter will be sent home this week.

Monday, Oct. 23 – Wear Red Day! Wear RED to kick off the week-long celebration.

Theme: “Your Future is Key, So Stay Drug Free!” Students willreceive a ribbon with this slogan.

Tuesday, Oct. 24- Theme: “Wild About Being Bully and Drug Free!”Dress like an animal.

Wednesday, Oct. 25 - Theme: “Too Smart to Start!” Dress like aNERD.

Thursday, Oct. 26 - Theme: “UNITED We Stand Against Bullying &Drugs!!” Dress in Red, White and Blue.

Friday, Oct. 27 - Theme: “Our Futures Are Bright - Drug and BullyFree!” Dress in Neon colors.

Early Learner Workshop

Early Learner Workshop

Parents of students that are in PK and K are invited andencouraged to attend this workshop. Students will have funlearning, and parents will, too! Please go learn how to helpincrease academic achievement at home. Door prizes and bookswill be given!

Good Behavior Celebration

Thank you to the dance line, football players, Coach Littleton, and Mr. Ward for the outstanding advice that you gave our students this morning at WBE's Good Behavior Celebration. You are making a difference in their lives and we appreciate it so much. You will always be "superstars" to them.

3rd Grade Oil Presentation

Jason Andrews from Sharber Oil talked with WBE 3rd graders about production, distribution, and consumption. Not only did the students and teachers learn a lot, they also had a great time. Thank you Mr. Andrews and Sharber Oil!

Title 1 Parent & Family Engagement Plan

 

 

Invitation to Participate

Decatur County Schools annually reviews and revises our Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan and our CLIP (Consolidated LEA Implementation Plan). The annual review process is discussed at our annual Title I Stakeholder Meeting. Opportunities to attend these meetings will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at noon and 5:30 pm. at the Decatur County Student Support Center (507 Martin Street in West Bainbridge). All parents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend this informational meeting.

Stakeholders are also invited to visit the Decatur County Parent Resource Center on July 19th between the hours of noon and 5:30 pm to participate in the annual review process. The District CLIP, District Parent and Family Engagement Plan, and Individual Schoolwide and Parent and Family Engagement Plans will be available for review. Parents and stakeholders are encouraged to view these plans and offer feedback and suggestions.
