Bus Safety

Mr. Wilson shared helpful tips to Mrs. Payne's PK class at WBE on "Bus Safety" to help celebrate Bus Driver Appreciation Day." He reminded students to keep their bookbags in front of them instead of in the aisle of the bus.  He also reminded them to always sit facing forward and never get out of their seats while the bus is moving.  Last, he reminded them to use their inside voices on the bus and be completely quiet when the bus comes to a railroad crossing.

Summer Reading Tips for Parents

Congratulations! "Why I teach"

Mary Jo Boutwell - $250 gift card winner from Action GM

"Why I teach"

"Teaching for me is my calling, my way of life. It is also my way of "paying it forward" to all of the teachers that gave me so much during my school life. My life was molded and guided by the Stan Killoughs and the Barbara Murrahs of the world. I strive to be that for my students. I teach so that my students have a place they can feel safe and loved. When my time on Earth is over I want to have made a forever positive impact on our future generations. My sole purpose as a teacher is to not only educate children but to give them the love and guidance that they deserve." Mary Jo Boutwell

Honoring the Peanut

3/7/17
Dear Parents,
Decatur County is second in the state of Georgia for peanut production. On March 15th, we will be honoring the peanut farmers in our county for their hard work. As part of the celebration, students will be allowed to dress up as a peanut farmer or even as a peanut. Be creative as this is meant to be a fun way for us to recognize the peanut farmers in our community. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Jamie Ard

Queridos padres,
Sinceramente,
Jamie Ard

August 22, 2016

Dear Parents,

We need your help! Our school has been successful in our behavior initiative by offering a Friday reward. Some of the rewards have been popsicles, dances, and free time. One of the new rewards will be Sweet Treat Friday. We really need donations of Little Debbie cakes, Rice Krispie Treats, Popcorn Balls, mini cupcakes, and individual bags of cookies. Won’t you please help us reward “our” children for good behavior? It’s a win-win for all of us! Thanks for your continued support!
