Checkmate system

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Our top priority is your child's safety. One way we are trying to keep your child safe is with our new Checkmate system. This system allows us to print passes for classroom visitors so that we can monitor who is on our campus. We need forvisitors to please bring a photo ID (Driver's License) to check in at the front desk. We also need for for you to bring aphoto ID (Driver's License) when signing students out early. Although this may seem inconvenient, it does make ourschool safer. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Class Dojo

Parents,

Please sign up for Class Dojo!  Class Dojo is our primary way to communicate with parents regarding what is going on here at West Bainbridge Elementary, so it is very important that we have all of our parents and guardians signed up to receive messages.  In fact, it is so important that I am offering a pizza party for classes that have 100% of parents/guardians signed up!  For more details for how to sign up to receive messages, please contact your child’s teacher.

Thank you,

Jamie Ard

Regístrese para Dojo!

Padres,

Gracias,

Jamie Ard

Georgia Milestones Re-Test Information

Decatur County Schools is a Strategic Waiver System, which allows our system to waive specific state board rules. In our current strategic waiver, we chose to waive O.G.C.A 20-2-283 & 20-2-284. This waiver allows us as a system not to retest students for the 2017-2018 school year. The wavier also allows us to be able to use other vital information from your child’s entire school year and not only state assessment scores in the promotion and retention policy for the 2017-2018 school year.

From The Principal

As we approach the midpoint of our school year, I just wanted to send a message to let you know how much we enjoy working with your children here at West Bainbridge Elementary.  Your personal child is what motivates us to get out of bed in the morning and come to work each day.  We want to empower them to go out in the world and thrive.  It is a true blessing and gift to us to know that we can influence tomorrow with what we do today as we work with the children here at West Bainbridge Elementary.  I am thankful to have such a strong and gifted group of teachers and staff members here at West Bainbridge that are willing to go over and above to reach and teach the children in their classrooms.  I am also thankful for the support that we get from our families and from our community as it certainly takes a team working together to educate our children.  It is my sincerest desire that we all realize how blessed we are at this time of year and continue to work together as a team for our students here at West Bainbridge.  Best wishes to you and yours during this special season!
