Will Parker serves as Director of Bands at Bainbridge Middle School, and Assistant Band Director at Bainbridge High School. Before returning home to Bainbridge, Mr. Parker served as Director of Bands at Straughn School in Andalusia, Alabama for 6 years. Mr. Parker earned his bachelor’s degree in music education at Troy University, where he studied Trumpet with Dr. James Zingara, Dr. Michael Huff, Mr. Mike Keeley, and conducting with Dr. Mark Walker. Mr. Parker returned to school in 2014 to receive his master's degree from Auburn university where he studied conducting with Dr. Rick Good and Dr. Corey Spurlin.
As a performer, Mr. Parker has performed with the world renowned "Sound of the South" Marching Band where he served as Trumpet Section Leader and Drum Major, Troy University Symphony Band, Jazz Band I and II, as well as performing with the Troy University Trumpet Ensembles.
Bands and students under Mr. Parker's direction have received superior ratings in Alabama and Georgia, Under Mr. Parker's direction, students attended honor bands at Troy University, University of Alabama, Jacksonville State University, Florida State University, Auburn University. In 2014 the Straughn Band was invited and performed at the All-State Sugar Bowl held in New Orleans.
Mr. Parker's past and present professional affiliations include Alpha Tau Omega, Music Educators National Conference, Alabama Music Education Association, Alabama Bandmasters Association, Alabama Educators Association, Nationals Educators Association, and the Georgia Bandmasters Association
