Daily Bulletin January 22, 2020

Announcements for January 22, 2020:

                  • Mr. Bryant would like to congratulate Bainbridge Middle School chorus member Dani Martin for being selected to participate in the 2020 Georgia AllState Chorus week in Athens, Ga. Dani passed two rigorous auditions, one with a perfect score, and is one of only 200 students from across the state to make the final cut. Job well done Dani!

  • School pictures will be taken next Tuesday.  Students, please prepare for pictures that day. These will be up for purchase, online, and they will also be used for the yearbook.

  • Boys’ Soccer tryouts are today and tomorrow (1/22 & 1/23) from 3:30-5:30pm.

  • Students of the Month:  MPLC- Caden Godwin and Jose Montavalvo-Rodriquez; Emerald Team-Anastasia Davis and Zyron Cooper; Garnet Team-Charles Heidt and Travis Hicks; Pearl Team-Chloe Eakin and Braylon Phillips; Sapphire Team- Jada Jones and Dylan Baez-Berrios; Onyx Team- Andrew Carnes and Amario Lee; Diamond Team-Ninti Jeffery and Anala Jackson; Topaz Team-David Hall and Kylie Miller.  We will have a pizza party for these students this Friday.  These students have exhibited positive behavior and attitudes that make BMS great!

  • Gear Up After-School will start back today. Students meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. 

  • Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition: interested students should see Mr. Spalla in Room 206 before or after school or talk with their ELA teacher for more information. Entries are due to Mr. Spalla on February 14.

  • BMS Chorus  will be pre-selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day.  You can see members of the chorus at lunch to purchase one for a special person or for yourself.

  • Any student who sold the World’s Finest Chocolate, turn in money as soon as possible. 

  • Reminder of the Day: Students, this is a friendly reminder that you are not to bring blankets to school.  They can cause you or someone to trip. We will keep the heaters on and you will be nice and warm while at BMS.

  • Today’s lunch menu: Italian Spaghetti w/Garlic Toast OR Stuffed Crust Pizza, Seasoned Green Beans, Golden Corn, Fresh Garden Salad

  • Yearbooks are on sale for $35. See Mrs. Conley or Ms. Kirkland

  • January’s Harvest of the Month is greens (collards, mustard and turnips). Winter Greens are great sources of vitamins A, C and K. Did you know that vitamin A is good for your vision? What are some ways you can incorporate greens into your meals this week?
