Daily Bulletin January 23, 2020

Announcements for January 23, 2020:

  • Students when you come on campus before 7:30 you are to report to the lunchroom.  You are not to hangout, waiting for the bell to ring and certainly not to leave campus once you arrive. This is very serious.  We want to keep you safe and out of trouble, but we can’t if you are not where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there.

  • Any middle school boys or girls who are interested in joining BHS golf team need to go see Mrs. Wheeler in room 135 during homeroom only to sign up. You must have:  a physical already on file for this year and your own set of golf clubs. Tryouts are Feb. 10th, 4:00pm at the Country Club. Head Golf Coach Tom Wheeler - BHS

                  • School pictures will be taken January 28th, next Tuesday.  Students, please prepare for pictures that day. These will be up for purchase, online, and they will also be used for the yearbook.

  • Boys’ Soccer tryouts are today and tomorrow (1/22 & 1/23) from 3:30-5:30pm.

  • Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition: interested students should see Mr. Spalla in Room 206 before or after school or talk with their ELA teacher for more information. Entries are due to Mr. Spalla on February 14.

  • BMS Chorus  will be pre-selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day.  You can see members of the chorus at lunch to purchase one for a special person or for yourself.

  • Reminder of the Day:  Students, this is a reminder about studying and study habits.  There will be many quizzes and tests tomorrow on campus. Study your resources, do not be that person that shows up to school to take a test or quiz and have done absolutely nothing to prepare. Be prepared.  Hard work pays off!

  • Quote of the Day: No preparing for something is preparing to fail.

  • Today’s lunch menu: Bonless Hot Wings OR Steak Fritters, Southern Greens, Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy, Black-Eyed Peas, Baby Carrots w/Dip, Cookie.

  • Yearbooks are on sale for $35. See Mrs. Conley or Ms. Kirkland

  • January’s Harvest of the Month is greens (collards, mustard and turnips). Winter Greens are great sources of vitamins A, C and K. Did you know that vitamin A is good for your vision? What are some ways you can incorporate greens into your meals this week?
