Bainbridge Middle School
On behalf of the faculty and staff of Bainbridge Middle School, I would like to welcome you to another year of excellence in teaching and learning. We are looking forward to working with each student during the 2021-2022 school year and being a part of their academic achievements!
We are truly lucky this year that we are able to have sixth grade students and teachers join the BMS family! We have really grown! This year we will have approximately 900 students and 111 faculty and staff. Having this additional grade level will allow teachers the flexibility to have common planning times which will increase the rigor of instruction for each grade level – more collaboration leads to better instruction which then leads to engaged learning by students. We will use data to also help provide feedback on our instructional practices to ensure each student is able to reach his/her fullest potential. We will also have a focus this year on teacher clarity. Simply put, teacher clarity means when teachers are clear with their expectations, and instruction is organized and intentional, students learn more.
Bainbridge Middle School has an open-door policy and we invite parents/guardians to come out and be a part of the school. We will have opportunities for you to serve as volunteers, chaperones, or maybe you just want to come out and meet with teachers to discuss your child’s progress. We welcome the opportunity to have you be a part of the BMS family and provide us with both support and feedback. It is through listening to you that we are able to better determine how to meet the needs of our students. Your voice and interaction are valuable to Bainbridge Middle. After all, our school motto is, “Bainbridge Middle School Parents Make the Difference”.
In order to stay abreast of your child’s academic performance, we ask that you sign up for the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This is where teachers post grades and you, as a parent, will be able to view grades once they are entered. This is a valuable piece of communication between the teacher and parent/guardian and we strongly urge you to use this to your advantage.
At Bainbridge Middle School we will foster excellence in education through teamwork, communication, clarity, commitment to the community and of course, the best in teaching and learning. Please feel free to call or stop by if we can be of any assistance to you. We are here to serve you and our students. Together we will excel during the 2021-2022 school year and continue to show that we are: Bearcat Strong!
Yours in Education,
Quinten Fuller, Principal
