BMS Ag Students Learn about Poultry Production

One of the largest segments of the agriculture industry in Georgia is Poultry Production.  For twenty one days students in Mr. Ward Cole's Agriculture class at Bainbridge Middle,  got to experience poultry production first hand through the incubation of chicken eggs.  The students learned how to candle eggs to mark the development of the embryos.  They also maintained the temperature and the humidity of the incubator to insure optimal growing conditions. They were rewarded for their effort with nine baby chicks.
