Students Explore STEAM and Reading Success at Sphero Corn Maze Adventure

Hutto Elementary School Students who reached their 7-point reading goal for the first 9 weeks were rewarded with an exciting day at the Sphero Corn Maze. They engaged in hands-on learning activities, from Fraction Bowling, where Sphero knocked down pins for fraction calculations, to Multiplication Mania, coding Sphero to announce math problems, and a Pumpkin Zig-Zag course. After completing all activities on the challenge board, students could enter a drawing to win a jar of candy. Bainbridge High School's Early Childhood Education program ran each station, showcasing how Decatur County Schools' programs collaborate for student success. Special thanks to Instructional Technology Specialist Mrs. Samantha Palmer, who brought these Learning Experiences to life in the Newly Renovated Hutto Media Hub, keeping students Learning and Engaged through Technology!
