Bearcat fans, this one will go down in the books. ⚽️
In one of the most electric matches EVER, BHS Boys Soccer fought their way to a HUGE first-round State Playoff win on Centennial Field!
Backed by a packed home crowd and the full force of the Bearcat community, our boys fed off the energy all night long. Every touch, every save, every shot had the crowd locked in and pushing them forward.
After a tough 2-2 battle through regulation and overtime, it came down to penalty kicks. That’s where the Bearcats stayed composed, executed, and finished the job. 💥
GO CATS! 💜💛

What an exciting time to be a Bearcat!
This week, the Bainbridge High School Football Team took the field for their first practice under new Head Coach Jamey DuBose, and you could feel it from the very first whistle.. the field was buzzing, the hits were loud, and the intensity? 🔥 Off the charts!

From drills to full-contact reps, every snap carried purpose. Every player brought effort. Every coach demanded excellence. This wasn’t just practice… this was the beginning of something special.

The Bearcats showed up ready to work and Coach DuBose is already setting the tone for what this program is going to be about.
There’s a new level of intensity in the air… and it’s contagious. GO CATS!

🔥 Glassblowing in Action at BHS! 🔥

Our students recently had the incredible opportunity to experience a live glassblowing demonstration by talented artist Kelly Robertson and Cavalry Studios! From start to finish, they watched as raw materials were transformed into beautiful works of art—including a seahorse, vase, and fish.

Experiences like this bring learning to life and spark creativity in ways that last far beyond the classroom.

A huge thank you to the Decatur County Schools Foundation for making opportunities like this possible for our students. Your support continues to open doors and inspire the next generation!

Woven from the same thread. Guided by the best. Driven by SHAW INDUSTRIES GROUP, INC. Thanks to Team 5900 The Fighting Mongooses and TEAM 6887 The Dalton Catabots for sharing the magic carpet ride that led the [CY]BEARCATS #11214 to the World Stage!

The Bainbridge High School [CY]BEARCATS #11214 are forever grateful for the support and membership of the SHAW INDUSTRIES GROUP, INC who have supported and mentored our students through their ROOKIE year in FIRST ROBOTICS. The family of teams from the North to the South of the state of Georgia has been the backbone of our launch into FRC. This is what makes FIRST fabulous--it is about so much more than the robot.

The Bainbridge High School Robotics Team#11214 ARE HEADED TO THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!

On behalf of the entire school system, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that FRC Team 11214 [CY]BEARCATS has officially qualified for the FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston!

This past Saturday, April 11th, our students capped off a spectacular debut season by capturing the prestigious Rookie All-Star Award. for the Peachtree District of FIRST Robotics. This isn't just a win for the team; it is a historic milestone for our entire school community.

🌟 What This Means for Our District

The Rookie All-Star Award is one of the highest honors a first-year team can receive. It recognizes the team that most exemplifies the spirit of FIRST through community outreach, professional leadership, and technical excellence. It speaks to the students work and mentors work

To see our students achieve this level of success in their very first year is a testament to:
Student Excellence: Their dedication to engineering, coding, and strategic problem-solving.
Mentorship: The tireless hours our coaches and mentors have invested in these young leaders.
Innovation: A bold reminder that our district is a hub for the next generation of STEM pioneers.

🚀 Next Stop: Houston!
The [CY]BEARCATS are now preparing to take their talents to the global stage, competing against the best teams from around the world. We are incredibly proud of how they have represented our schools, showing grit, "Gracious Professionalism," and unwavering team spirit.

Congratulations, [CY]BEARCATS! You’ve shown us all what’s possible when passion meets hard work. We’ll be rooting for you all the way to Texas! Let’s show them the full support of our community as they gear up for the World Championships.

The Brain Behind the Bot 🧠💻

Meet Kathy. As the Lead Coder and Drive Coach for [cy]BEARCATS FRC#11214. Kathy is the one translating complex logic into winning moves. She doesn’t just write the script for our robot; she writes the strategy for our success.

Kathy says, "FIRST has shown me that no matter where I come from, I can be a part of something big. It has shaped my outlook on my future and taught me that the possibilities are truly endless. It has shaped my outlook on my future and taught me no matter where I come from I can be a part of something big!"

For Kathy, FIRST was the realization that your starting point doesn’t define your finish line. She has turned "I wonder if I can" into "I know I will." By leading our drive team with both data-driven precision and a whole lot of heart, she proves every day that anyone—from any background—can be the mastermind behind something monumental.

Whether she’s debugging code or coaching a high-stakes match, Kathy is showing the world that her future has no ceiling.

The Guardian of the Vibe 🛡️✨

Meet Brandon, Safety Captain for Team [CY]BERCATS #11214. While he keeps our shop running safely, his real mission is protecting the team's culture.

Inspired by Gurren Lagan's words, “Believe in the me that believes in you,” Brandon says, "Because of FIRST I learned that teamwork and being in a positive environment can help improve your overall performance."

Brandon knows that a robot is only as strong as the team behind it—and a team is only as strong as the trust they have in each other. For him, safety isn't just about goggles and fire extinguishers; it’s about creating a "positive environment" where everyone feels bold enough to innovate.

Brandon leads with a simple philosophy: if you don’t believe in yourself yet, believe in the teammates who see your potential. He’s the first to offer a word of encouragement and the last to let a teammate give up.

Finding Your Frequency ⚡️

Meet Kayla. When people think of robotics, they think of metal, motors, and math. But for Kayla, the most important "assembly" wasn't the robot—it was the community she found along the way.

Kayla says, ""I came for the robotics, but I stayed for the belonging. In the middle of the noise and the wires, I finally found my people and the freedom to be exactly who I am."

In the fast-paced, high-pressure world of FRC, Kayla discovered something more valuable than a trophy: a place on [cy]BEARCATS #11214 where she could stop trying to fit in and start standing out. By finding her "tribe," she found the confidence to be her most authentic self, proving that the strongest bonds are forged in the shop.

Kayla is a reminder that while we build machines, we also build a home for every student who walks through our doors.
