💻☕ Decatur County Schools officially kicked off Computer Science Education Week at Hutto Elementary School with their “Connecting with Coding & Cocoa” event!

Families filled the Media Hub as students stepped into leadership roles—guiding their parents through hands-on coding activities, robotics with Sphero, and beginner-friendly block and text coding projects. The room was full of curiosity, teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of smiles (and cocoa!).

Events like this highlight how early exposure to computer science builds critical thinking, creativity, confidence, and real-world skills that prepare students for the future. We are proud of our students for leading the way and grateful to the families who joined us in learning side-by-side.

This is just the beginning of a week dedicated to innovation, exploration, and future-ready learning across Decatur County Schools! 💜
Happy Computer Science Education Week! 💻✨

☀️ Biscuits for the Best at New Beginnings Learning Center!

Recently, NBLC educators were greeted with a sunny surprise as our District leadership team and our friends at SunStop Stores provided a delicious breakfast!🎉
“Biscuits for the Best” remains one of our favorite ways to show appreciation for the dedicated educators who pour their hearts into our students each day. A warm breakfast and a friendly smile are small tokens, but they carry a big message: you are valued, you are supported, and you are the BEST!!!

Thank you to every educator at NBLC—you make a difference every single day.
