Flu season is upon us and here are a few reminders to help keep our schools healthy :

Congratulations to the 2025 Decatur County School System REACH Georgia Scholars!
REACH Georgia (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) is a scholarship program that begins in 8th grade, pairing students with a mentor and an academic coach throughout high school.
Scholars must maintain good behavior, strong attendance, and academic success throughout the program. Students who successfully complete REACH are awarded a $10,000 scholarship that can be used at any HOPE-eligible institution in Georgia.
We extend our sincere thanks to the generous sponsors who make this opportunity possible: The Thomas M. and Irene Kirbo Charitable Foundation, First Port City Bank, Envision Credit Union, and Monica and Scott Ewing.
We would also like to thank Ms. Kathy Varner, REACH Coordinator for Decatur County Schools, for organizing the occasion, as well as the Decatur County Schools' Foundation for sponsoring the ceremony and reception.
